Singer Chyna Nicole’s song Gratitude for Mama, featuring Dean Fraser, was recognised with a Silver Medal – Outstanding Achievement at last month’s virtual staging of the Global Music Awards.
This is the fourth win for the New York-based reggae singer who is of Jamaican parentage.
“A Global Music Award is recognition that your work is revered by colleagues in the field of music and entertainment. The judges are diverse who have also been acknowledged from prestigious awards in the field, so it feels good to know that your work is judged based on the high quality and standards,” said Chyna Nicole in a media release.
The Global Music Awards is a well-known international music competition which celebrates independent musicians and honours participants from around the world. Established in 2011, it has three layers of awardees, namely gold medal winners, Silver medal winners and Bronze medal winners.
Chyna Nicole previously won Global Music awards for the albums Queens in the Arena (2019) and Level of Concern (2020), and for the song Butterflies (2021).
Gratitude for Mama is featured on the rhythm project Love You So Much and was produced by Gary O Sutherland.
